WHAT WE BELIEVE...
We are part of a world-wide group of churches called the independent Christian churches. We are non denominational in the sense that we do not have a denominational headquarters. Non denominational doesn't mean that we don't have a set of beliefs. We do have a set of beliefs which we try to keep simple. At the same time, we welcome people from all backgrounds, and we currently have several families that worship with us that are from different backgrounds.We try to be a church that focuses on UNITY - Ephesians 4. Therefore, we will try to emphasize SALVATION issues only so that we don't get caught up in minor disputes (2 Timothy 2:14, 22-24). That doesn't mean we do not try to follow the Bible on smaller issues. In fact, we try to follow the Bible as closely as possible. But, the leadership of this church (elders, deacons, minister) have decided to focus on the most important things and not get caught up in arguments that do not affect our salvation.These are the key facts that we believe are essential to believe:
---God created the earth and everything in it.

---God created a perfect world, but gave Adam and Eve the choice to obey Him or disobey Him.
---Adam and Eve chose to disobey God and that was when sin entered the world. This broke the perfect fellowship that people had with God.
---People continue to choose to disobey God, which is called sin.
---God gave us the Bible, the perfect Word of God, which tells us that God desires a relationship with every person and it tells us what He expects from us in our part of the relationship.
---Jesus is God's Son, who came to the earth and lived in the flesh. He lived a perfect, sinless life. He died on a cross, was buried in a tomb, and rose from the dead on the third day.
---Jesus' death and resurrection makes salvation possible for those who choose to be a follower of Jesus. The followers of Jesus make up a group called the Church.
---The church is the body of Christ on earth -- unified, filled, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, existing to worship God, to equip believers for ministry, and save the lost. (Ephesians 4:1-16)
---Jesus Christ will one day return to the earth and take His faithful followers to be with Him forever and ever!

THE STORY OF SALVATION IN A NUTSHELL...
---The bad news is every person has sinned and has fallen short of the glory of God, and because of that we deserve death (Romans 3:23, 6:23).
---The good news is God sent His Son Jesus to live a perfect life and become the perfect sacrifice for our sins on the cross. He took the punishment upon Himself for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21).
---Now that Jesus did that for us, we have the opportunity to be saved from our sins and the punishment we deserve (Romans 3:21-26).
* You are saved by GRACE through FAITH in Jesus Christ, not by any works that you do - Ephesians 2:8-9

* You can receive this forgiveness/restored fellowship with God by having FAITH that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross is the only way your sins can be washed away, by CONFESSING Jesus as Lord, by REPENTING of your sins (turning away from your sinful way of living), and by being BURIED with Christ through BAPTISM - Mark 16:16, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:1-4
